About Me
Calderian Sense was founded in 2017 by NYC based indie perfumer Calder Kusmierski Singer. Starting as a hobbyist in 2015 buying essential oils for self-care, it has slowly grown into a full perfume practice. Following a singular sensibility, formulas are generally developed around interest in a particular plant, radiating out to create a complex formula that evolves over time as it is worn.
Calderian Sense also creates aromas for air: commercial spaces, galleries, performances, parties, and the home. Clients include Westfield & The Smithsonian Museum of Math. Calder loves to work with fellow artists and has composed aromas for Isaac Pool, Linda Lauro Lazin, Material Girls, and Olfactory Art Keller. Calder is a former compounder for Christophe Laudamiel.
At this time Calderian Sense is only offering bespoke blending while slowly refining a ready-made line.
